The Clark family has been farming in Howard County since 1797.  Martha Clark and her daughter, Nora Crist, are currently raising the beef that you can purchase at Clark's Elioak Farm's castle entrance store 10 AM to 5 PM Tuesday through Sunday (410-730-4049, 410-730-0664 or clarksbeef@gmail.com).

Great-grandfather, John Lawrence Clark, was an expert cattleman and farmer as was Martha's father, James Clark Jr.  The herd of cattle currently on the farm are part of James Clark's legacy.  Jim Clark left another important legacy---inscribed on a memorial stone in the front yard of the farm house are these words to live by . . .

Never Sell The Land

We use natural sustainable farming practices.  Our animals have access to over 110 acres of pasture.  Grazing on open pasture helps with the general health of the animal.  They get exercise, absorb sunshine and breathe fresh air.  Visitors to the petting farm can often see the cattle in surrounding fields and always enjoy seeing the sheep from Route 108.
