FALL SCHEDULE of WEEKEND EVENTS

Available daily: Petting farm, hayrides, pony rides, Cow Train, play areas, picnic area, and country store. ENCHANTED FOREST attractions throughout farm. Also visit our exciting ENCHANTED FOREST MAZE, a world of twists and turns in our pine tree maze filled with ENCHANTED FOREST treasures. Birthday parties and tours also available.

Below is an example of the activities we provide during the Fall season These weekend activities are not definite for 2013 yet:

AUG 31-SEPTEMBER 1 GRANDPARENTS WEEKEND! All grandparents accompanied by a child get free hayrides. Come with your children and grandchildren and see the Enchanted Forest attractions you remember. Open Monday, September 3rd---Labor Day---too.

SEPTEMBER 7-8 SCALES AND TALES! We will have a display presented by the Maryland Dept of Natural Resources featuring birds of prey and reptiles on Saturday from 12 noon to 2 PM. Enjoy all our wonderful rides and explore the Enchanted Forest Pine Tree Maze.

SEPTEMBER 14-15 GEM MINING & GEODE CRACKING WEEKEND! Purchase a bucket full of enriched ore and use the water flume to discover gems you can take home with you. Check www.mobileminingexperience.com for more information about gem mining.

SEPTEMBER 21*****PUMPKIN PATCH OPENS*****NOVEMBER 3 Come get your pumpkins every day from Sept 21 (closed Monday Sept 23) through November 3. Every day you can enjoy the petting farm and all the Enchanted Forest attractions, the Enchanted Forest Pine Tree Maze, our play areas and country store. On the weekends you can also enjoy facepainting .

SEPTEMBER 21-22 FARM-CITY CELEBRATION WEEKEND. Get a jump start on Howard County’s Farm-City Celebration by joining us Saturday morning between 8 AM and 9:30 AM for our Family Farm Walk. Walk the hayride path (before we start up the hay wagons) and visit stations along the way to learn about healthy living, farms, food, and more. Co-sponsored with the University of Maryland Extension. Also, PUMPKIN COLORING & CRAFT ACTIVITIES WEEKEND! To celebrate opening our PUMPKIN PATCH we will have fun coloring and doing craft activties. Facepainting and CJ's Pit Beef, too. Cider and pumpkins at our country store.

OCTOBER 5-6 TEDDY BEAR FARM VISIT Bring teddy bears! Free hayrides for all children who bring a Teddy Bear. Join in the Teddy Bear Contest at 1 PM and 3 PM Saturday and Sunday. Folk singing with TONY MCGUFFIN Noon to 4 PM both days. Facepainting and CJ's Pit Beef, too. Cider and pumpkins at our country store.

OCTOBER 12-13 GEM MINING & GEODE CRACKING WEEKEND! Trancas Geodes Split Purchase a bucket full of enriched ore and use the water flume to discover gems you can take home with you. OCTOBER 26-27 HALLOWEEN and GEM MINING WEEKEND. Costume Parades at 11 AM and 2 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. Facepainting. Cider and pumpkins at our country store. Take a hayride to the pumpkin patch!! Pumpkins galore!! C.J.’s Pit Beef, too. Facepainting, pony rides and cow train rides also available. Also this will be the last weekend for gem mining activities for 2013. As part of the end of the season celebration, Mobile Mining Experience will have some big surprises in store for those brave enough to search through their enriched ore in what is sure to be some pretty chilly water. But it will be worth it, because there will be more than just minerals and gemstones to be found!!

NOVEMBER 2-3 PUMPKIN CHUCKING WEEKEND. In the spirit of the season, let’s have some special fun with pumpkins!! We have a special catapult that will launch your pumpkin across the farm. Bring your own pumpkin and let’s see how far it will go! C.J.’s Pit Beef, too.
