CLARK’S ELIOAK FARM Remembers the ENCHANTED FOREST for a 60th BIRTHDAY      CELEBRATION Weekend

  Saturday, August 15. 2015 --- 10 am to 5 pm     

10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Enchanted Forest Employees Reunion.  Special opportunity for former employees to get together and reminisce about the fun times working at the magical Enchanted Forest. 

10:30 am

Into the Woods Mini Performances.  Actors from the Drama Learning Center will perform selection from Into the Woods

11:00 am - 11:45 am

Norm Cavey and Vern Hatheway will talk about their years working at the Enchanted Forest. Hear all their great “behind the scenes” stories. 

12 noon

Birthday Celebration and Enchanted Castle Ribbon Cutting:  County Executive Allan Kittleman

Retired Maryland State Senator, Jim Robey, Master of Ceremonies 

We will recognize special guests, sponsors, volunteers and other friends.

 12 noon to 3 pm

Gem Mining with Tom Cummins.  Join the 7 dwarfs, purchase a bucket full of enriched ore, and use the water flume to discover gems you can take home with you. Geode cracking, too.

Tony McGuffin, Folksinger, Traditional American folk music

Tony has spent most of his life here in Howard County, including in pre-Columbian times, and has entertained local audiences for many years.  In fact, this October will be his 25th year doing The Teddy Bear Farm Visit at local farms (first at the Cider Mill and now at Clark’s Elioak Farm). 

 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm

  • There will be roving fairy tale and story book characters to interact with guests.

  • A special craft table with Enchanted Forest-inspired craft activities

  • Exhibit of Artwork by Local Artists inspired by the Enchanted Forest attractions.  This artwork is available for purchase.

  • Display of photographs and memorabilia from the Enchanted Forest and Photo Contest entries

  • CJ’s Pit Beef             

  • Rita’s Cool Treats    

  • Freshly-baked Gingerbread cookies by Touche Touchet

  • Great Enchanted Forest 60th Birthday souvenirs to help you remember the day!!!
