Members of the Clark family have been farming continually in Howard county since two Clark brothers settled here in 1797. During that time, the Elioak Community has been home to several Clark farms, including Fairfield, Ravenwood and Clarkland Farms. When Howard County was still mostly rural, Elioak encompassed both sides of Route 108 from west of Manor Lane to east of what is now Running Brook.

Former State Senator James Clark, Jr. and his daughter Martha Anne Clark invite you to visit their 540 acre farm. Formerly a dairy farm, the farm is now home to a wide diversity of agricultural operations. The family raises sheep and cattle, has a SUMMER VEGETABLE AND CORN STAND and grows and sells hay, wheat, corn and sorghum. Coming from a strong family tradition of farming, their most recent activity is to create  CLARKS ELIOAK FARM, a new Farming Education Center and Petting Farm.
