In 2015 we will be selling lamb raised on Kefauver Farm in Clear Spring, MD. Hans and Laura Kefauver's sheep are grass fed and raised without the use of synthetic hormones, antibiotics, or steroids. About our naturally-raised lamb:

  • Grazing of our animals is managed to enhance the growth of the pasture, the health of the soil, and the nutritional value of our products.

  • An animal raised on lush, green pasture is eating the diet its body is meant to digest, and is not crowded or stressed. Our sheep eat high quality pasture and stored grasses in the form of hay.

  • Our sheep are not given any synthetic hormones, steroids, unnecessary antibiotics or animal byproducts.

  • Our lamb is processed as a USDA inspected facility and vacuum-sealed for extended freezer life.

  • Buying naturally raised products form local farmers greatly reduces transportation costs and helps keep local farms in business.
